This is a recipe I adapted to suit my tastes, by adding garlic, broccoli, mushrooms, and noodles at the end to make it a one-dish meal for work. I also lightened it up by using egg-fee (or at least yolk-free) egg noodles, and Neufchatel cheese, rather than cream cheese. I do use real (unsalted always) butter. This is also very affordable, and with the availability of pre-diced chicken at a reasonable price, it couldn’t be easier or more budget-friendly.
